Washington Park, Los Angeles served as the home park for three different PCL teams: Los Angeles (1903-1925), Vernon (1909-1912) and Venice (1913-1914). ~ 828098 Commemorative postcard issued in 1982 by baseball hobby pioneer Ray Mederios Ray Mederios is a baseball collector who dealt with our hobby’s pioneers or with those who did. He was present at the first unofficial national convention (1970) and was friend of many an old-timer. In the early 1980s Ray issued postcards of one of his favorite subjects: old baseball ballparks. This postcard is one of those Ray issued under the banner, WAY BACK WHEN… Card size is standard postcard size – approximately 5-1/2″ by 3-1/2″. Cards of this size fit comfortably in 4-pocket collector sheets. Vintage baseball stadium postcards (including commemoratives like this Way Back When card) complement any serious collector’s holdings and provide a peek at a past era. Shipping OPTIONS are available – YOUR CHOICE of either eBay standard envelope service (ESE) which is cheaper with slower delivery or USPS Ground Advantage (more costly for single cards but much faster delivery).
