Single and extra cab hilux’s may differ slighty and is up to the owner / installer to insure differences are correctly assesed and when required alterations made to prevent injury or damage to persons or vehicle. Installation Instructions : 1) Park on a flat surface : Make sure the truck is parked on a flat surface, you don’t want anything to be able to slide about. Make sure all bolts have been sprayed with CRC before hand. NOTE: Place chocks under the front wheels. 2) Disconnect battery, disconnect negative cable first then positive 3a) Remove grill and bumper wiring harness needs to be unclipped from fog lights if installed 3b) The four metal brackets which hold bumper in position will need shortening re-bent and a hole drilled in them to allow the bumper to be re-attached after the lift 4) Remove air conditioner bolt and bracket from body 5a) Remove breather hoses from bracket on passenger side engine bay 5b) Remove air filter from air filter box leave in position can be re-installed when lift complete 6a) Remove wiring harness clips from firewall bracket, can be re-installed after lift 6b) Remove wiring harness bracket from engine mount, oil filter and manifold all on left hand side of engine, all can be re-installed after lift 7) Remove radiator from core support loosen four bolts and let radiator rest on bottom support 8) Remove upper steering joint. Tape or strap steering wheel to prevent movement, mark the joint with permanent pen or seribe line for re-alignment remove steering joint when body lifted insert steering spacer and re-align with marked lines. NOTES: Steering spacer is easier to install when body is jacked up and loctite should be used on bolts 9a) Remove driver and passenger side kick panel, door seal covers and peal carpet back to reveal body bolt locations in front 9b) Remove rear door seat covers and upper plastic seat belt cover to access carpet and rear bolt location 10) Remove brake line brackets attached to chassis on driver and passenger side of vehicle can be re-attached after lift with brackets made out of 3mm x 20mm wide flat plate with two holes 50mm apart 11a) Remove park brake cable from tail shaft cross member 11b) Remove all clips which hold inner guard rubbers x4 ( 2x on drivers side 2x on passenger ) 12) Remove all fuel line brackets attached to chassis on the passenger side and remove wiring harness and hoses attached to tail shaft cross member to prevent stretching can all be re-attached after lift 13a) Remove fuel cap, rear passenger side inner guard and bolt which holds fuel filler and breather hoses in position 13b) Remove clamps and remove hoses from vehicle 13c) The metal fuel filler necks need to be cut and joined with rubber fuel hose to extend them 50mm 4 hose clamps will be required make sure hoses are free from metal particles before re-installating 14) Rear bumper doesn’t need to be removed but if brackets are not made there will be a 50mm gap between body and bumper, it only affect appearance 15) Time to lift 15a) Loosen but don’t remove all bolts on drivers side of cab 15b) Remove bolt washer and nut from passenger side of vehicle. NOTE: Factory captive washers need to be removed from bolts and used with kit bolts supplied 15c) NOTE: Lift blocks must be installed as an addition to factory upper and lower bushings 15d) Position a hydraulic jack and wooden block under passenger side of cab on the body seam slowly lift the cab just enough to install lift block. It is recommended someone else keeps close watch on all cables wires etc as some vehicles may be fitted with aftermarket accessories ( eg. Spot Lights, Diff Lockers, Alarms, Stereos etc ) 15e) Insert M12x180mm bolt down through cab into lift block, making sure you have used factory washers on top, put nylock on bottom but don’t tighten until all passenger side mounts have bolts in them 15f) Repeat process for drivers side carefully jacking up keeping very close watch on hose wire etc 15g) Re-align cab with tub and make sure measurements between tub and back of cab are the same 15h) Remove all nuts and coat with loctite and tighten up to secure cab 16) Repeat Process for tub 16a) Loosen but don’t remove bolts on drivers side of tub 16b) Remove captive bolts from passenger side of tub and jack up just enough to insert a block 16c) Repeat step on drivers side 16d) Make sure tub is correctly aligned with cab of vehicle 16e) Insert extended fuel filler / breather hoses and bolt back to chassis, re-attach inner guard and fuel cap 16f) Once alignment is right, remove all tub bolts and coat with loctite and tighten up 17a) Remove the two lugs from side of radiator one on each side, this will allow the radiator to sit flush on body when brackets are installed 17b) Radiator will nedd 4x Drop Brackets making out of 3mm x 20mm flat plate 70mm long drill 2 holes in each plate 50mm apart bolt one end to the radiator the other to where the radiator was originally bolted two allowing the radiator to sit 50mm lower to prevent fan hitting shroud and power steering and coolant hoses stretching re-attach radiator 18) Re-attach all kick panels carpet and door seal covers, check hand brake for adjustment make sure steering joints are tight and all wires hoses etc re-attached ( NOTE: A steering shaft extension is required, you are required to buy it on your own ) Payment Shipping Return Payment Info Our preferred payment method is through PayPal.
