Chrome body is good has a professional etching in baseplate, not a SSA #, dont know what it means. Nice working camera for 35mm rollfilm, with a Cult lens known for sharpness and contrast.

NOTE: Kalimar Inc. was the 1957-62 American importer, who wanted Aires to change the name to their own. Aires refused and Kalimar didn’t advertise the camera properly. American Greed, killed Aires Cameras and they were exceptional build quality. This model is the Rare version with the <EP>= Export Product, so it could have been bought in a military Post Exchange. It would mean no Taxes for the sale went to Japan Government.
