The size 7 solitaire style ring tapers in width from 6.62mm top center down to 3.60mm at the shoulders, down to 2.53mm bottom center. The yellow pinched cathedral shank frames the center white, tall four-corner-prong basket setting containing one modified rectangular brilliant cut (princess cut) diamond. The diamond measures 5.50mm X 4.62mm X 4.44mm in length, width and approximate depth (not exact due to the mounting) and it weighs 1.02ct. estimated by formula. It is SI2 in clarity and appears to be J-K in color with a faint blue fluorescence. It has very good polish and fair symmetry with a thick to extremely thick polished girdle (where the top and bottom facets meet). The gold is estimated to weigh 2.63 pennyweights. The ring was cast, assembled and handset with a bright polished finish. The ring is in very good condition.
