This emulator has been flashed with the HxC firmware, configured and tested to work with the E-MU EMAX I and EMAX II right out of the box. This unit has been upgraded with an OLED DISPLAY to be able to read file names.Some of the other benefits of the added functionality on this unit in comparison to the generic ones are: Full compatibility with your EMU EMAX Sampler*. Hot swappable, no need to reboot the sampler when removing the USB thumb drive for editing or adding new images. Use the up and down button to load disk images on the fly. Drive is now compatible with images from the 720 KB (DD) floppies as well as 1.44 MB disks Boot your sampler from a floppy disk image, OS embedded on each image for immediate access when the sampler needs it. *Drive emulator might be also compatible with other samplers from the EMU family but untested at this moment. If you are intetested, I can give you access to my collection of the Sample Library for the EMAX, approximately 1500 floppy disk images, each of these disks containing multiple presets from the official, expertly programmed EMU Sample Library and much more.
