Serving as the president of the National Sculpture Society from 1928 to 1931, Weinman also held esteemed positions in the New York City Art Commission (1924-1928) and the National Commission of Fine Arts (1928-1932). Elected as a full member of the National Academy of Design in 1911, he was also a member of the American Numismatic Society and the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Adolph A. Weinman’s remarkable career brought honor not only to himself but also to his adopted country. He passed away on August 8, 1952, in Port Chester, New York, leaving behind an enduring legacy of artistic brilliance and profound contributions to the world of sculpture.
