For sale is a used for parts Triad Design System Seven satellite speaker pair. I connected them to my system and one speaker works fine. The other speakers tweeter works but the larger speaker does not produce sound. I opened up the box and discovered the two wires coming from the mid speaker are disconnected from the board. The solder connections failed. I did test the mid speaker using a battery and an ohm meter. the ohm meter showed 6.7 and the battery caused the speaker to move and made a noise. so the speaker clearly works. Since the pivot post between the big box and little tweeter box needs to be replaced I decided not to reconnect the wires so the speaker can be removed making it easier to access the inside of the box for repairs. once the box is repaired it is easy to solder the wires again. There is no visual damage to the speakers other than a few small marks around the edges as seen in pictures. The complete speaker is fine except for some small chips as seen in the pictures but both speakers in that unit work fine. The subwoofer is not included. Back in the day this system would sell for $1500. I have two other working sets that I use at home and they produce excellent sound and I like the design plus adjustability. Again for sale is on pair of speakers. One speaker works and has both screens. The other speaker is for parts. The pivot post is broken on that speaker and is need of repair. The mid speaker was tested and works but needs to be soldered back to the board and the tweeter produces sound when connected to a stereo. Also the tweeter screen is missing. I have included pictures of the two wires that are detached inside the speaker for your reference. I have circled the items in red. I have not reconnected them because the box still needs to be repaired so I am leaving it as is. I did test the mid speaker which is disconnected from the board using an ohm meter and battery. Result was 6.7 ohm and the speaker moved and made noise using the battery. I have listed this on a local classified site as well so first come first serve. Please take a look at the pictures to get an idea of condition.
