(It was called Hampden’s Theatre because he had an exclusive rental contract, not because he owned the building. *Only two of the programs are dated 1928 (Cyrano De Bergerac and An Enemy Of The People) but the others are close to the 1928 date. (I happen to know that John Garrett Underhill produced the first English-language version of The Bonds of Interest (Los intereses creados) by Jacinto Benavente, with Walter Hampden, in 1929.) Although Hampden was quite a major Broadway Theatre star at the time, he seems to be better remembered for his film career, and television appearances, which came later. Programs are in Good to Very Good condition, and all have a diagram of the theatre on the rear. SHIPPING NOTE: We ship via USPS, mostly because it’s cheap and offers (domestic) tracking.
